Mark Fearnley Art

I was born in 1967 in Bedfordshire and am currently living in rural Northamptonshire. I have worked for the past 12 years as a decorative artist painting marble, stone and faux effects, generally in large country houses. I have combined these modern day effects into my art work to create contemporary images. I’ve been inspired by Jackson Pollock’s dripping and spattering techniques and have drawn on these for my compositions on canvas. I love the way I have no full control, the art is only partially predictable. My finished work is exciting, definitive and infinitely layered.
